Billing, trial and cancellation.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Select Wordalo Unlimited and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep access until then.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New subscribers get three days of Wordalo Unlimited free. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at £2.99 a month.

How much does it cost?

£2.99 a month in the UK after the trial. Prices in other regions are set by Apple and appear in your local currency. We don't run discount codes, because we keep the price low to begin with.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Wordalo purchase and request a refund. If Apple asks us about it, we'll usually support the request.

What's included in the subscription?

Unlimited puzzles every day, all fifty themed packs, the printable four-page broadsheet PDF, 150 bonus coins every morning, automatic streak forgiveness when you miss a day, and priority email support.

Does Family Sharing work?

Yes. Wordalo Unlimited supports Family Sharing, so up to six family members on the same Apple Family can use one subscription. Enable Family Sharing in your Apple ID settings.

Puzzles, saves, sync.

Does Wordalo work offline?

Yes. Every puzzle is generated on your device. You can play on a plane, on a train, or with a patchy signal. An internet connection is only needed to validate your subscription receipt when you first subscribe.

Does my progress sync between devices?

Yes, via iCloud. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled on every device and that they're signed into the same Apple ID. Progress typically syncs within a minute of a change.

I lost my streak. Can it be restored?

Wordalo Unlimited subscribers get automatic streak forgiveness when you miss one day. If you miss more than that, the streak resets. We can't restore streaks manually, since we don't have a server that records them.

How do I turn on audio narration?

Open Settings inside the app and turn on Audio narration. When you're solving a crossword, a small speaker button next to each clue will read it aloud in British English.

The app is in English. Can I change the language?

Not at the moment. Every clue is hand-written in British English, so a translation would be a significant undertaking. If you'd like other languages, let us know.

Is Wordalo suitable for children?

The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. However, the clues and vocabulary are written with adults in mind, so younger children may find some words unfamiliar.

I found a bug or a bad clue. How do I report it?

Email hello@wordalo.app with the puzzle type, the themed pack, the clue and what you expected. Screenshots help. We read every email.

How the printable puzzle paper works.

How do I print the broadsheet?

Open the Puzzles tab, tap Printable Paper, choose A4 or US Letter, then tap the AirPrint icon. Select your AirPrint-compatible printer and print. A Wordalo Unlimited subscription is required.

What's in the four pages?

Page one is a word search, page two is the daily crossword, page three is a set of anagrams and a short puzzler, and page four is the solutions. Solutions are printed upside-down so you don't see them by accident.

Can I share the PDF with a friend?

Yes. Use the iOS share sheet to email or message the PDF. There are no watermarks and no tracking. We trust people not to redistribute it publicly.

The layout looks wrong when I print.

Make sure you've selected the correct paper size (A4 for UK, US Letter for US) and that "scale to fit" is off in the print dialog. If it still looks wrong, email us a photo and we'll take a look.

Your information.

Does Wordalo collect my data?

No. There's no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Your progress lives on your device and in your own iCloud account. For the full story, read the privacy notice.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app to remove local data. To remove iCloud data, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, find Wordalo and delete its data.
